Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally receiving a remarkably limited local release, M. Ward's deeply atmospheric solo debut established his signature vintage, highly nostalgic aesthetic[cite: 1]. Co-produced by Howe Gelb, the album relies entirely on his incredibly intricate acoustic guitar fingerpicking and an exceptionally dusty, warmly lo-fi approach to contemporary indie folk songwriting[cite: 1].
