Gods of War - At War

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning after a ten-year hiatus, Alexandros Antoniou delivers a triumphant, roaring masterpiece of Hellenic black metal. The record largely eschews blast beats in favor of driving, mid-tempo rhythms, massive choral arrangements, and acoustic guitars that perfectly evoke the spirit of ancient Greek warfare. The heroic, intensely melodic riffing solidified it as a modern classic within the pagan metal community.
