Dump Gawd: Hommy Edition

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This highly exclusive, self-released project from the elusive Haitian-American lyricist further defined the grimy, sample-based renaissance of the late-2010s New York underground. The production features chopped, looped obscure soul samples bereft of traditional percussion, allowing his dense, multilingual street narratives to command the listener's focus. The album contributed heavily to his cult mystique and the burgeoning drumless rap movement.
