HBO (Haitian Body Odor)

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally sold directly to consumers for a high price, 'HBO (Haitian Body Odor)' cemented Mach-Hommy's enigmatic persona and established a landmark release in underground hip-hop. The album's sound is defined by a murky, sample-heavy production style from producers like August Fanon and Daringer, creating a minimalist yet rich backdrop for Mach-Hommy's intricate and multilingual lyricism. Across the project, he delivers complex wordplay with a uniquely conversational flow, exploring themes of the Haitian diaspora, luxury, and street narratives with a blend of cultural and historical references.
