#RICHAXXHAITIAN

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The final installment in a tetralogy of albums focused on his ancestry, '#RICHAXXHAITIAN' is a stylistically varied yet accessible work that retains the artist's core esoteric sensibilities. Production from collaborators like Sadhugold, Conductor Williams, and Kaytranada creates a soundscape ranging from warbly, drumless loops to jazz-rap and soulful boom-bap, supporting Mach-Hommy's dense, bilingual lyricism. Thematically, the album explores Haitian identity, post-colonial struggle, and self-determination, delivered through intricate flows and dynamic, singsong passages that balance political commentary with abstract wordplay.
