Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from the Bay Area thrash scene, Machine Head's debut significantly popularized groove metal in the mid-1990s. The aggressive vocal delivery of Robb Flynn and the street-level lyrical focus on social decay resonated widely, making it one of the highest-selling debut albums in its label's history at the time.
