Album Notes & Community Reviews

Powered by her distinctively raspy, jazz-inflected vocals, the Ohio native's multi-platinum debut merges quirky, hip-hop-influenced neo-soul production with remarkably eccentric, personal songwriting. The massive crossover success of 'I Try' propelled the eccentric artist into global superstardom at the turn of the millennium.
