Album Notes & Community Reviews

Translating the shockwaves of American youth culture into a distinctly European context, the actress and singer delivers infectious, swing-inflected takes on early beat music. 'Rock and Roll' serves as a crucial novelty record that helped popularize the new rhythmic vocabulary across France.
