Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by Howard Devoto after leaving Buzzcocks, Magazine practically invented the sophisticated, keyboard-heavy sound of British post-punk on their debut. 'Real Life' marries the aggressive energy of punk rock with remarkably cold, progressive synthesizers and incredibly anxious, misanthropic lyricism, creating a profoundly eclectic and dark rock masterpiece.
