Album Notes & Community Reviews

The celebrated pop-rock songwriter strips back the electronic gloss of her previous works, favoring incredibly warm, deeply passionate arrangements indebted to heartland rock and acoustic country-pop. Framed as an intimate, nostalgic journey through young adult heartbreak and alcohol-tinged longing, the vocal performances remain fiercely anthemic and exceptionally melodic. It is a wonderfully confident, highly cohesive singer-songwriter triumph.
