Centered entirely around the astonishing guitar prowess of a teenage Frank Marino, this Canadian power trio's debut album is deeply indebted to the psychedelic blues-rock of Jimi Hendrix. Dedicated explicitly to Hendrix in the liner notes, the recording features fluid, Wah-Wah drenched solos and cosmic lyricism that effectively continued the fallen guitar icon's sonic legacy. Despite the obvious stylistic replication, Marino's genuine virtuosity and soulful delivery elevate the project beyond mere pastiche.
