Album Notes & Community Reviews
The culmination of over seven years of work, 'In These Times' is Makaya McCraven's most ambitious and beautiful album. The record expands on his signature 'organic beat music' style, blending live-session recordings with post-production techniques, but this time incorporating lush, intricate orchestral arrangements. The music is a brilliant fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and classical music, creating a sound that is both epic and intimate. It's a masterpiece of modern production and a profound statement on history, community, and perseverance.
