Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Make-Up relentlessly preached their self-described 'Gospel Yeh-Yeh' sound on 'Save Yourself', blending raw garage rock energy with distinctly soulful, funk-inspired rhythms. Ian Svenonius's manic, charismatic vocal performances perfectly anchor the band's highly stylized, quasi-religious aesthetic.
