Gift From the Trees

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The British trio recorded their fifth studio album in a residential studio in Wales, allowing the surrounding natural environment to heavily influence their compositional approach. 'Gift From the Trees' is a delicate, purely acoustic exercise in chamber jazz, leaning into the meditative repetition of post-minimalism. The interplay between saxophone, piano, and tabla creates a distinctly peaceful, albeit melancholic and bittersweet atmosphere.
