The sixth studio album from the Atlanta-based band serves as a thematic and sonic companion to their 2017 record 'A Black Mile to the Surface'. Produced by Andy Hull, Robert McDowell, Catherine Marks, and Ethan Gruska, the album is a deeply cinematic exploration of life, death, and faith from the perspective of a man encountering the angel of death. The concept was heavily influenced by the passing of guitarist Robert McDowell's father, resulting in a powerful and emotionally resonant body of work.
