Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the final studio album for the group's highly successful pop-oriented lineup, the record leans heavily into eccentricity and whimsical British storytelling. 'Mighty Garvey!' weaves idiosyncratic character sketches, Bob Dylan covers, and oddball sound effects into a quintessential artifact of UK Toytown pop. It marks an eccentric close to their career before Manfred Mann pivoted sharply toward jazz and progressive rock.
