Album Notes & Community Reviews

German trumpeter Manfred Schoof led an exceptional European quintet on this spacious, highly lyrical recording. 'Horizons' masterfully balances structured, melodic jazz fusion with the exploratory, atmospheric freedom characteristic of the ECM and JAPO labels. The album highlights Schoof's remarkably warm tone and the intuitive, subtle interplay of his talented ensemble.
