Album Notes & Community Reviews
Trumpeter Manfred Schoof assembled a formidable quintet for this session, capturing the spacious, reverberant aesthetic characteristic of the ECM label. The compositions navigate a delicate balance between free improvisation and structured, meditative melodies, leaning away from aggressive avant-garde tendencies toward a more atmospheric sound.
