Journal for Plague Lovers
by Manic Street Preachers
Produced by Steve Albini, this album acts as a direct spiritual sequel to the band's 1994 masterpiece 'The Holy Bible'. The lyrics consist entirely of previously unused poems and prose left behind by the band's original guitarist Richey Edwards, who disappeared in 1995. Musically, it eschews the polished stadium rock of their intervening years in favor of a raw, abrasive, and angular post-punk sound.
