Album Notes & Community Reviews

Cementing his status as a key figure of the 'second generation' of bossa nova, 'O compositor e o cantor' features Marcos Valle singing exclusively his own compositions. Often working with lyrics penned by his brother Paulo S茅rgio Valle, the album showcases intricate, jazz-inflected chord progressions and sophisticated melodies. It importantly includes his enduring standard 'Samba de Ver茫o' (Summer Samba).
