Produced by Oki Kano and released on his Chikar Studio label, 'Mikemike Nociw' is the fourth album by Marewrew, the Ainu women's vocal group whose name means butterfly. Its fifteen tracks are all credited as Ainu traditional songs, performed as upopo, the festive group songs built on short repeated melodic germs woven in tight canon, mostly a cappella with clapping and stomping.
