Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their debut '45 cerebros y 1 coraz贸n', Maria Arnal and Marcel Bag茅s build a soundscape rooted in the recovery of Iberian folk traditions and historical memory, drawing from field recordings and archival sources. Arnal's expressive, commanding vocals are paired with the versatile electric guitar of Bag茅s, which shifts from delicate melodies to harsh, psychedelic drones. David Soler's production adds minimalist electronics and contemporary textures, creating a work that was critically acclaimed in Spain for its stark and moving synthesis of archival folk music with modern experimentation.
