Album Notes & Community Reviews

Plagued by multiple delays and title changes, 'Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse' ultimately delivers a polished mix of classic vocal balladry and modernized R&B. The record leans heavily on nostalgic 1990s hip-hop soul aesthetics while incorporating contemporary rap features from artists like Miguel and Wale. Despite receiving generally positive critical assessments, it experienced a sharp commercial decline compared to her previous blockbusters.
