Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during the COVID-19 lockdown, the legendary English singer lends her distinctive, weathered voice to readings of 19th-century Romantic poetry by Keats, Shelley, and Byron. Warren Ellis of the Bad Seeds provides the musical backdrop, composing lush, deeply atmospheric ambient and electroacoustic soundscapes to accompany the recitations. The project serves as a moving, highly meditative intersection of classic English literature and modern ambient composition.
