Album Notes & Community Reviews

Teaming up prominently with Twin Peaks composer Angelo Badalamenti, Marianne Faithfull delivers a deeply cinematic, heavily orchestrated collection of mature art-pop. 'A Secret Life' perfectly utilizes her famously weathered, highly expressive voice to convey profound melancholia and romance. The vocal performances are supported entirely by Badalamenti's exceptionally lush, trademark synthesizer and string arrangements.
