Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collaborating closely with producer Hal Willner, Faithfull delivers a deeply weathered and cinematic interpretation of pre-war standards and contemporary blues. Her raspy, heavily degraded vocal delivery effectively grounds the immaculate, cabaret-inspired orchestrations in a profound sense of world-weary melancholy.
