Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Philadelphia quartet cements their legacy within the emo revival scene with this emotionally resonant sophomore release. 'As It Were' tempers the math-rock freneticism of their debut with warmer, more contemplative indie-rock structures, delivering intricate, intertwining guitar lines and deeply nostalgic, melancholic songwriting.
