Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the disbandment of her notorious jazz-punk outfit Midori, the fiercely eccentric Japanese vocalist delivers a shockingly bright, highly polished solo debut. While entirely replacing her former band's aggressive hardcore noise with sweeping, orchestral J-pop arrangements and incredibly lush instrumentation, Goto retains her unhinged, intensely theatrical vocal delivery. It is a bewildering, highly eclectic masterpiece of progressive pop music that brilliantly balances sugary accessibility with underlying avant-garde madness.
