Album Notes & Community Reviews
Uniting the delicate, gothic folk of Marissa Nadler with the heavy alt-metal background of Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky, this collaboration is a remarkably beautiful exploration of sonic contrasts. The album balances sparse acoustic piano and guitar with looming, sludgy distortion and haunting vocal harmonies. It includes a completely reimagined, incredibly dark cover of Guns N' Roses' 'Estranged'.
