The debut solo album from the accomplished jazz trumpeter and film composer is an elegant fusion of acoustic instrumentation and sweeping electronic soundscapes. Heavily utilizing the Prophet-5 synthesizer alongside brass and woodwinds, the crystalline, highly melodic ambient compositions became a foundational release for the Windham Hill label. It significantly elevated the artistic credibility of the burgeoning new age genre.
