Album Notes & Community Reviews

This collaboration pairs Mark Kozelek's verbose, diary-like storytelling with the electronic soundscapes of The Album Leaf's Jimmy LaValle. The cool, synthetic backdrops provide a perfect counterpoint to Kozelek's warm, weary vocals as he recounts detailed memories and observations. It is a mesmerizing and unexpectedly cohesive fusion of folk narrative and electronica.
