Album Notes & Community Reviews

The notoriously prolific, often cynical Sun Kil Moon frontman delivers a surprisingly earnest, deeply intimate collection of traditional holiday songs. 'Mark Kozelek Sings Christmas Carols' strips away all orchestration, relying entirely on his remarkably gentle nylon-string guitar playing and incredibly close-mic'd, remarkably soothing vocal performances. The album provides a wonderfully calm, incredibly cozy, and beautifully melancholic holiday listening experience.
