Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Second Album' continued Martin Carthy's role in the British folk revival, emphasizing unaccompanied and guitar-led interpretations of traditional material. His precise phrasing and modal guitar work helped shape the performance vocabulary later associated with English folk clubs and folk-rock musicians.
