Album Notes & Community Reviews

The album preserves the address King gave at the A.M.E. Church Convention in Cincinnati in 1964, built on his warning against sleeping through a revolution, an image he drew from the Rip Van Winkle tale. It is a title and a theme he returned to in several of his most famous late speeches.
