Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Tony Visconti, this second studio album moved the artist significantly away from the orchestrated pop of her earlier work toward a more serious, pastoral contemporary folk sound. The arrangements are sparse and sophisticated, featuring delicate instrumentation that highlights her crystalline voice and a stronger focus on traditional influences. It remains a beautifully coherent, highly intimate masterclass in late 60s/early 70s chamber-folk.
