Album Notes & Community Reviews

Documenting John Zorn's premier acoustic quartet, this dynamic set seamlessly fuses the harmonic vocabulary of Eastern European klezmer with the blistering, open-ended improvisational energy of 1960s free jazz. The interplay between Zorn's saxophone and Dave Douglas's trumpet remains consistently thrilling and technically dazzling.
