Album Notes & Community Reviews

The leader of the influential Japanese new wave group Ippu-Do released this mesmerizing, highly eclectic solo debut. Collaborating with prominent figures like Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bill Nelson, and Mick Karn, Tsuchiya intricately layered cutting-edge synthesizers and sharp guitar lines with distinctly Eastern melodic sensibilities. The album stands as a sophisticated, forward-thinking masterpiece of early 80s global synth-pop.
