Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Norwegian trumpeter expands his compositional palette significantly for his second ECM release, incorporating twin drummers and subtle keyboard textures. 'Skala' retains the pristine, icy atmospheres typical of the label while venturing into highly rhythmic, pop-inflected jazz fusion territory.
