Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dramatically shedding their traditional pop origins, the Italian quintet delivered a highly theatrical, meticulously sequenced masterpiece of art-inflected synth-pop. Antonella Ruggiero's extraordinary operatic range contrasts brilliantly with the cold, driving synthesizer rhythms and prominent drum machines. The wildly successful single 'Vacanze Romane' remains one of the most sophisticated and beloved achievements of the Italo-pop era.
