Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced expertly by Ry Cooder, the legendary soul and gospel singer revisited classic anthems of the 1960s Civil Rights Movement. Backed by Cooder's unmistakable, swampy slide guitar and incredibly raw, soulful backing vocals, the record is a deeply moving, fiercely political testament to her enduring cultural legacy.
