Album Notes & Community Reviews

Nominated for the Mercury Prize, the debut from this Newcastle quintet offers a tightly wound, hyperactive take on British indie rock. Paul Smith's distinctly northern, literate vocal delivery drives the frantic guitar lines and angular rhythms, resulting in highly melodic, romantic pop structures.
