Quicken the Heart

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The third studio album from the Newcastle quintet further streamlines their energetic indie rock formula, relying heavily on driving rhythms and sharp, angular guitar riffs. Paul Smith's hyper-literate, frantic vocal delivery remains at the forefront of the Nick Launay-produced tracks, which lean slightly away from the synthesizer-heavy pop of their previous release. The record solidified their enduring presence within the British post-punk revival scene.
