Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a hiatus from his experimental outfit The Red Krayola, the Texan songwriter delivered an incredibly eccentric, fiercely idiosyncratic take on Americana and folk-rock. His deadpan vocal delivery and highly surreal, poetic lyrics completely subvert traditional country-blues structures, making it a foundational oddity of the underground singer-songwriter canon.
