Album Notes & Community Reviews

Evolving far beyond their frantic hardcore origins, the Meat Puppets embraced a warm, deeply psychedelic brand of desert-baked alternative rock. The Kirkwood brothers weave intricate, almost jazz-like guitar interplay and lethargic, harmonized vocals to create an incredibly mellow, sun-drenched atmosphere. 'Up on the Sun' is a highly original, pastoral, and deeply rhythmic cowpunk masterpiece.
