Following heavy criticism of their previous, rock-oriented effort, Dave Mustaine revitalizes the legendary thrash outfit by bringing in virtuoso guitarist Kiko Loureiro and Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler. The album is a furious return to form, leaning heavily into complex, razor-sharp riffing and cynical, politically charged lyricism. The title track notably earned the band their first-ever Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.
