Album Notes & Community Reviews

Riding the cultural wave following her acclaimed performance at Woodstock, the New York singer-songwriter achieved massive international success with this breakout release. Anchored by the powerful, gospel-infused anthem 'Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)', the record perfectly captures the era's communal, peace-driven idealism. Her intensely emotive vocal delivery and highly personal songwriting style resonated deeply with a generation of counterculture youth.
