Album Notes & Community Reviews

A highly polarizing departure from their thrash metal roots, 'Load' finds Metallica embracing slower, groove-oriented hard rock and bluesy southern metal. The album explores more introspective, melancholic lyricism while maintaining an incredibly heavy and rhythmic, albeit less aggressive, melodic approach.
