Album Notes & Community Reviews

The former Monkee's final release for RCA Records is a brilliantly succinct, highly melodic refinement of his pioneering country-rock sound. Supported by elite Los Angeles studio musicians and featuring lush, sweeping pedal steel arrangements, the album perfectly frames Nesmith's wry, deeply introspective songwriting. It remains an essential, understated classic of the burgeoning 1970s cosmic country movement.
