Album Notes & Community Reviews
Michael Penn's fourth studio album, produced and mixed by Brendan O'Brien, refines his art pop into dense, keyboard-led arrangements played by a band including Patrick Warren and drummer Victor Indrizzo. Backing vocals from Aimee Mann and Grant Lee Phillips surface within songs whose title conceit, 'MP4', plays on both the audio format and Penn's position in his own discography.
