Album Notes & Community Reviews

Expanding Polish jazz into deeply experimental territory, Micha艂 Urbaniak's ensemble utilizes 'Paratyphus B' to fuse advanced hard bop with prominent avant-garde and rock elements. The album showcases Urbaniak's ferocious, electronically modified violin and saxophone solos set against complex, unpredictable rhythmic structures. It serves as a vital transitionary record highlighting the increasing influence of electric fusion behind the Iron Curtain.
